The Tegelberg - a royal landscape

The ascent with the gondola lift offers a unique view of Neuschwanstein Castle. Leaving the
mountain station, an unparalleled spectacle of nature awaits. The mysticism and romanticism,
already fascinating King Ludwig II during his visits up here, can still be felt today.
Fascinating views along the “Königsrunde” panorama trail, a relaxing break at the “Ort der
Besinnung” (Place of Reflection) or simply let your gaze wander from a deck chair on the sun
terrace

With a little bit of luck, you might even spot an ibex on the numerous mountain and hiking
tours in the extensive Ammergebirge, now that they have settled here again. If you like even
more athletic activities, you can use the Bergsport Lodge as a starting point for tours to the
three Via Ferrata with varying degrees of difficulty. The hang gliding and paragliding center
offers tandem flights with fantastic views of the castles for all aviation enthusiasts. Summer
toboggan run, playground and a cozy beer garden next to the valley station guarantee fun and
enjoyment for the whole family.
